Before the session, we will discuss the styles and colours that you love, and we’ll agree on a theme.
During a toddler session, parents are my TEAM. They are the key to a successful session. I am making them play with their little one, and let the magic happen! Parent/child interactions are always my favourite images, and create treasured memories for the whole family!
Clothing & Props
RA Photography by Agnes will provide a range of outfits (e.g. tutu’s, pants, bow tie’s) and props for the session, but feel free to bring along any other clothes or props that you may wish to have included. Please note that clothing will be covered in a cake in the session.

Preparation
Smashing the cake with a tired little angel isn’t always fun, so try to schedule your booking in with your small one sleeping pattern, when they are rested after nap time and fully awake. It’s also essential for mums and dads to wear clothing that is ok to get dirty.
It’s also a great idea to bring along drinks & snacks – photoshoots can be tiring for the little ones.
Smash Time!
Now is the time to smash the cake!
Your bub will need your encouragement to smash the cake.
Don’t worry if he hasn’t had cake before or is hesitant to smash the cake – every baby is different and will still get great photos! 🙂
Bath Time & Clean Up
After the photoshoot, it’s time for a warm bubble tub to clean off the cake and frosting. During the bath, I will also be taking pictures.

What is a Cake Smash Photoshoot?
A parent loves to see their child having fun. This is precisely what smash and splash sessions are about, parents like to watch their baby explore and taste the cake which always results in fun, creative and sometimes messy photos.
This kind of photoshoot is a whole new way to celebrate the first birthday or some of the highlights in our kids’ lives. Smash cake sessions are usually held around the baby’s first birthday. Most parents choose the week before the birthday parties or shortly before, but some folks would use the pictures from the session for birthday party invitations. This means that the session will take place even a month before the actual birthday date.
The actual smash shoots are children led, which means that we will keep up with your children. When they get bored, we move on. If they want to relax, we will take a break. Because of these shoots, sometimes it may take more time. Sometimes we sit down and drink a cup of tea while your child settles in and feels comfortable in the studio.
The smash sessions are supposed to be messy, and your child should have fun! Some people are distracted by the idea that the child is smashing the cake, but to be honest, let them be messy and have fun, but you can do it in a way that appeases your need to have things not completely destroyed.
How to Book?
Get in touch to check my availability. If you are flexible on dates book via the Contact page and I will confirm with my next available slots. The deposit of £39 would be taken now to secure your date and later on the session date would be deducted from the whole amount.
